NFC ID-card attendance

NFC attendance for tuition centres and coaching classes

Give every student an NFC ID card. They tap it on a phone at the front desk, and EduPro marks them present in the register. No roll call, no paper register.

How it works

From card to register in three steps

Step 1

Register each card

In the EduPro app, open a student's profile, start an NFC scan and hold their card to the phone. You can also type the card's ID if the phone has no NFC.

Step 2

Students tap in

Run the attendance scanner on an NFC-capable phone at the front desk. Each tap marks that student present for the day, and repeat taps are flagged as already marked.

Step 3

Finish the register

Mark anyone who didn’t tap as absent or late in the admin portal. Parents of those students get an alert in the EduPro app.

Why institutes use it

Attendance that takes care of itself

No roll call

Teachers start class on time instead of calling out names.

One register per batch

Present, late and absent for every batch and date, in one place.

Parents in the loop

Absent and late marks trigger an alert to the parent’s phone.

Works without NFC too

Manual marking is always available, and lost cards can be replaced or unlinked in seconds.

FAQ

NFC attendance: common questions

What do we need to get started?

NFC ID cards for your students and an NFC-capable Android phone or iPhone running the EduPro app at the front desk. You link each card to a student once.

What if a student loses their card?

Open the student’s card settings in the app and scan a replacement card, or unlink the old one. Manual marking works in the meantime.

Can two students share a card?

No. A card can only be linked to one student in your institute, and cards can’t be assigned to parents.

Do parents get notified when their child taps in?

Parents are alerted when their child is marked absent or late. A normal tap-in marks the student present without sending a notification.
